Hello GoG, I am filling in a request for the binding of isaac rebirth afterbirth .
I guess i'll discuss why I can't get the game currently, a bad string of bad luck and bad ugh backing of just-in-case funds on my part perhaps? I was originally gonna save up some of my christmas money for afterbirth but a friend of mine stated that they would pay for it as a christmas present of sorts. So I trusted that and spent money on other things. Yesterday I found out that my friend is a bit tight on cash and won't be able to pay for it, leaving me with little in my steam wallet and well yeah.
So now that that is out of the way I'll discuss my experience with the binding of isaac. The binding of isaac and it's future installment rebirth (and the first expansion) is probably one of my favorite games of all time. One old friend of mine introduced me to the game, he claimed it was hard but fun and very replayable. I played the original, and did not like it for the first few hours. I kept on dying and it was just too hard for me, but I kept on playing. I eventually became quite good at the original.
Then rebirth was available for pre order, and I preordered it (this was before I learned my lesson with preordering games caused by watch_dogs) and when it released I loved it. I was skeptical that it would be worse than the original at first, but it came out and I couldn't get enough of the new experience it hooked me on. Another friend of mine decided to gift me afterbirth along with buying it himself so we can share our experience with it. I played afterbirth for a good while, but like every game eventually goes it gets a tad repetitive for me. Afterbirth was, for me, a way to revive the game I love so much. It will support the best cure for repetitiveness in gaming, Mods!. If you are around the binding of isaac community you know of this recent mod, antibirth, that was just released. These mods add to the game or alter it to make it harder and more challenging.
Tl;dr - Can't get the game due to a series of bad luck, long time fan of the game, and wanna revive my playability for the game by the use of mods.
I also have 100%'d both games (the older one had a dlc I didn't really do though). The struggle was real, screw the keeper and the lost! :D
Alright that's my request, bye folks!
If you came this far thank you, since you read this whole post what is your favorite item in the series thus far? Mine is probably ludovico technique, it just changes the dynamic of the game having only one controlled tear.
༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ Edit: Ab is released, gibe game pls ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ
Edit 2: I ended up getting it, this post was a sort of insurance policy due to the way I got it being a bit ugh perfect timing.
