Wow. What an experience. I never expected we'd be able to give such premium gifts to kids who would otherwise not be able to afford these toys. Although the proposal to help a family in RandomActsofChristmas was put out fairly late and close to Christmas, we did have a number of generous gifters who donated to the cause. Big thanks to /u/Natemiester, /u/EdenSB, /u/donaaronio, /u/G4mingan, /u/glargamos, /u/Naticus105, and /u/JpsCrazy
We ended up selecting 2 families - 123timesababy's son Joseph (who had less gifts than his siblings at the time we selected our recipients) and Crashed9's son Anthony.
By all accounts they looked as if they had an excellent Christmas. I know the community at GiftofGames were completely behind the idea, even those who could not contribute monetarily due to the other events we had on (Secret Santa, Steam Winter Sale) wanted to pass on their Christmas wishes.
Both the families have posted thanks, please head on over to their posts and give them your best wishes, and Merry Christmas.
crashed9's thanks post at GiftofGames and crossposted over at RAoC
We did good. Let's do it again next year :)
