[GOG] A round of applause for /u/Freedomtacos for taking the lead in organizing a special gift for someone. This is also the record for the longest timeframe between request & gifting.

Post Body

So the other night in the GiftofGames Steam Group chat room where many interesting (and some uninteresting) topics of conversation take place, the topic of Catfish came up. Someone then mentioned that they rememberd a post on GiftofGames from someone who had been a Catfishing victim and appeared on the MTV show Catfish.

After a brief search, we located the post from almost a year ago, and also noticed it had never been fulfilled. Although the post itself is probably too brief by the sub's current standards, several of us then watched the episode and felt for the protagionist.

/u/Freedomtacos really wanted to fill the PayDay2 request, and /u/GeneralJohnSedgwick also wanted to give him some DLC for Crusader Kings II (one of his most played games). Several members of the GOG Steam Chat who were on that night contributed cards and items to put on the marketplace to raise funds for this idea.

The gifting has taken place, and I'm told the recipient is thankful and happy with his gifts.

We are not sure if Catfish Guy will post here again, but I just wanted to let the people of GiftofGames know that /u/Freedomtacos did something pretty awesome for someone. :)
