Galactic Civilizations III is an awesome new 4X game made by Stardock entertainment. Possibly the largest scale 4X ever made, you can play with up to 128 opponents on stupidly large maps. Multiple victory conditions. (Conquest, Culture, Research, Ascension or Alliance.) Possibly my favourite feature is the ability to create custom races/factions which you can either play as or allow the AI to play against you.
