I'm aware that I'm beating a dead horse at this point, but for me to request any other game would be disingenuous. I've also allowed an average of 5 days between requests. Obviously, I'm still frothing at the mouth to jump into this game. Being my sixth request for the same game, hopefully you'll still give this a read regardless of the votes I receive (up or down).
The good news is, I found a job! The bad news is, it's part-time and I won't be paid for another two weeks. Needless to say, once I start earning money again (in two weeks), I won't have to make any more requests for the foreseeable future! (which is a very happy moment for me indeed) Naturally, I'll be an active member of the community, with my sporadic/impulsive offers, helping members where I can, participating in gog discussions, playing game nights, talking in our gog Steam chat room! And of course, tossing my proverbial hat into the ring for any offers made for games on my wishlist (who can pass that up!).
Anyway, I'd love to play GTA V. The mod community has taken off with this game and the videos have been insane and insanely hysterical (I Fucking Love PC). But more importantly, it's the underlying game that's so special.
For all intensive purposes, this is a perfect game. In every which way that makes a video game great, GTA V has it in spades. World design, story, character development, "level" design (in this case, they are open-world missions), variety of side missions, main story length, level of detail, graphics, game mechanics, sound effects, music, game options, stat tracking, saving, world map, mini-map, vehicles, fun factor, and overall impressions. Controls, on the other hand, not so much. But this is by design, as every GTA has always felt... "floaty".
Point is, everyone needs to give this game a try. I really mean it. Everyone. It's that entertaining. That deep. That accessible. That fun! The only argument for not giving this game a try is if you're against any sort of violence or gun-play in video games, in which case, you have every right to avoid GTA V with a ten-foot pole, and if that is your stance, then I'd strongly encourage you to maintain that distance. :) (Also, any medical condition that may make it difficult to play 3D games.)
I'm not exaggerating when I say that this game will be my last, greatest gaming investment, time wise. Until the next GTA, any time I have to play video games will be devoted to GTA V.
All my best to everyone,
Fifth (well formed request, imo)
Fourth (still my favorite)
Third (good attempt)
Second (not well received)
First (too short)
EDIT: Moved the video link and added a post script:
PS There's an interesting conversation going on about making multiple requests here. I suggest reading it and chiming in!
