Giveaway closed, i will contanct the winnter later today (11.05)
Hello GoG, i'm here whit an offer for a amazing game called Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition! Dark Souls series is known for its high but rewarding diffuclty and for its rich lore.
I have one copy of the game (Humble Store link) to giveaway for a brave person who follows the rule set of this giveaway...Or are you casul or sumthing?
The rules:
Read and respect the subreddit rules. Seriously.
Write about your most difficult gaming accomplishments.
Praise the sun. (Failing to praise the sun or refusing to do so will result in instant disqualification).
Its really highly recomended that you own a controller that is compatible and working whit your PC. The game is almost impossible to control whit KB M.*
- */u/Hjaldrgegnir 's two cents: "Just wanted to say, you can definitely play it with a keyboard alone. Mouse and keyboard, hell no. But if you set the keys right, it's pretty easy to beat with a keyboard." Something to look in to if you do not have controller and really want to enter. In my opinion, it would mostlikelly be much more enjoyable whit controller.
- As always, effort is appreciated.
Bellow is a copy of my last dark souls giveaways FAQ. You should probably read it. Contains important information regarding to the Dark Souls PC port.
Thank you for /u/freedomtacos for coming up whit the rule set.
Giveaway will run for about 24h-36h
FAQ
"I have heard bad things about PC port of Dark Souls"
Its 30fps, 720p locked if you don't download highly recommended DsFix.
" Can i use keyboard and mouse?"
Well you can, but i would't even try. Controller is for 99% of people must have for this game. Even the Steam page recommends controller.
"Its Games for Windows Live game"
Not any more. Dark Souls has been transfered to SteamWorks so no need to worry.
"Is there still people playing online/Co-Op/Invading"
Not many most likely. The souls community in /r/darksouls is still going strong but its a big world. The steamworks integration will definitely bring lot of new people and veterans back to the game.
"What is the Prepare to Die edition? I'm scared."
Prepare to Die edition is the only version available on PC. It includes the base game, and its only expansion: Artorias of the Abyss. The DLC can be accessed in the game world, around the middle part of game. How to actually get into the DLC area is really complicated, so google it.
