Hello GoG!
Another Mass Effect sale and another Mass Effect giveaway by me. I'm going to use modified version of my previous Mass Effect giveaway text because i'm lazy. The first part is story about me and Mass Effect, the rules are after that.
Mass Effect games have REALLY special place in my heart. Mass Effect 2 being my favorite game of all time and Mass Effect 1 and 3 bellow that. Yes i know, even Mass Effect 3.
I got in to Mass Effect franchise by seeing this trailer. (Now this is the part where you watch the trailer before reading more). WASN'T THAT AWESOME?! At least i think so. So after being amazed by that trailer i i thought "Well its called Mass Effect 2 so there must be game called Mass Effect somewhere right? Better play that one before the second part. " So i ordered the game for Xbox360 the same day and after it arrived, it was time to start an adventure that would change my life FOR FOREVER.
Played it twice, liked it, thought "ok its really good, but i'm not THAT impressed right now". Didn't have the moneys for the second part at the moment so i kinda forgot it for couple of months. One summer day, browsing web stores, i saw Mass Effect 2 at discount and remembered liking the first one and being amazed by the trailer so i ordered it. Twas a painful three days of waiting because re-watching the the trailer got me all hyped up. Then it happened. It arrived. I shoved that game in to the console and started playing. For 6 hours straight. After an break to take shower i played 3 hours more. It was AMAZING. Before beating the game i knew that i had something really special here. On the third day of playing it, after about 25 hours, i had beaten the game. "Woah..." i said. And started a second playtrought. This was only few months after Mass Effect 2 had released so the DLC started coming out on regular basis to feed my addiction, leading up to the release of Mass Effect 3...
But Mass Effect 3 is a story for another giveaway ;).
I think i have completed around 7 playthroughs of Mass Effect 1 and 5 of Mass Effect 2...And i have re bought them on steam, but i don't dare to touch them if i ever want to clear my backlog...I also have bought the Art of Mass Effect universe art book, Mass Effect 3: Collectors edition, All of the comics, and huge framed Mass Effect 2 posters. I CAN STOP WHENEVER I WANT DONT JUDGE ME!
So what exactly am i giving away here:

FAQ
- Whats is the Mass Effect 2: Digital Deluxe Edition?
The digital deluxe edition contains: Collector Armor and Assault Rifle, Incisor Rifle , Original Soundtrack (Its amazing), Digital Art Book, Digital Mass Effect Redemption #1 comic, Documentary Video
Will be downloaded to you whit the game.Only available in English
located at: Steam\steamapps\common\mass effect 2\Bonus\
- Can i start the Mass Effect series whit Mass Effect 2?
Nothing too incredibly complex happens in Mass Effect 1, and by watching video like this, and this you will be set for Mass Effect 2. (Note: There is two videos in the text)
- Do you recommend starting whit Mass Effect 2?
No! By not playing Mass Effect 1, you will miss and amazing game and story. People are mostly scared away from it, because of bit stiff looking animations, combat and maybe kinda dated graphics. (Some people seem to think so, i don't). You don't get close to experience of Mass Effect by skipping the first game, and best of all you can import your save to Mass Effect 2, and from that to Mass Effect 3!
- Save imports? What, How, Why?
You can import (transfer) your Commander Shepard and decisions of the previous games to the next, making the story MUCH more personal and just overall better. Mass Effect 2 pretty much does the save importing automatically, when trying to start new game. Or at least it will ask if you want to import. Its been a while since i played the game, but there is nothing complex involved here. You can also buy the Mass Effect: Genesis interactive graphic novel by Dark Horse comics where you can make the major decisions of Mass Effect 1. Price is 320 Bioware points. (More on that later in the FAQ)!
- Mass Effect 2: Cerberus Network/Online Pass
So Mass Effect 2, like most of the EA games from that time had online passes. Because EA discontinued the pass system there is some confusion around. As i understand it on PC you need to go HERE: Bioware Social Network , Download the the FREE Cerberus Network addon and you should get Email (I think?) or a file (maybe?) or something else whit the code to the Cerberus Network, which you can enter in the Mass Effect 2 game main menu. This pass will grant you access to a new squad mate, couple of missions, in game weapons and armor. The official EA info.
- The DLC? Bioware points? Whats going on!
So because EA was being EA, the DLC for Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 must be bought whit Bioware points. These can be bought from Bioware Social Network site. I know...ugh. All of the DLC costs much more than the base game and they NEVER go on sale on PC. Its pretty horribad system.
Mass Effect has two pieces of DLC:
Bring down the sky, which you can get free by following these instructions. (I highly recommend getting this).
Pinnacle Station, Its bad arena based combat DLC that was outsourced. Just no.
Mass Effect 2 has bunch more DLC. I highly recommend ALL story based DLC, but especially The Lair of the Shadow broker and The Arrival.
- Femshep vs Broshep
I LIKE THEM BOTH EQUALLY AND I WILL LEAVE IT AT THAT
