Hi GOG. My first request for this game was not fulfilled, and I completely understand why. It was short. Now I'll actually try to put effort into this.
Thanks to my parents, I know not to dump all my money into what I want instead of what I need. That really helps while I do not have a job.
I've heard that Rust is very similar to Minecraft. If that is true, I could spend hundreds of hours playing it. I started out playing it on my Macbook Pro. Now I have a computer I built for just under $,1000 (including the monitor). I spent hundreds of hours on Minecraft. I loved learning how to make redstone contraptions that could gather my crops for me with the press of a button, or simply to open a door. I had a private survival server for my brother and friends. It was great, but the world got corrupted. My brother and friends do not play Minecraft anymore so I really want to switch to Rust.
I know Rust is still in early development, but I can deal with that. I play DayZ Standalone which is still in early development, and I love it despite the bugs like zombies clipping through buildings. Searching for supplies is somehow fun to me even though there isn't much action happening. I did actually run into six zombies last night, and I survived all of the encounters. I would have normally died of blood loss after two or three.
I watched some gameplay videos, and it looks fantastic. Raids, gunfights, or simply surviving. I've always loved First Person Shooters. I could play serious and try to survive, or just mess around making random structures just because I can. It sounds perfect!
My brother keeps on telling me to get Rust so I have to keep on telling him that I do not have money to spend on games. If I get Rust, I'll be able to tell if one of my friends will like it. Then I can tell him about the game, and hopefully have another friend to play with.
Thanks for reading! I hope I can give back sometime soon.
The game is $20.
