THIS IS IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ THE WHOLE POST FROM BEGINNING TO END!
Hello /r/GiftofGames!
Do you have an outstanding request for a game that has gone unfulfilled? Perhaps you missed out on a game or bundle while it was on sale. Or maybe there's a game on your wishlist that you've really really been wanting to play, or your favorite game that would be enhanced by a DLC?
First, to be clear, I am not interested in gifting a game you just want to try or something you might play for less than an hour and never look at again. I want to give you a game you really want to play and put a good amount of time into playing.
Section 1 - Instructions
Name of the game you want
Pick a number
No need to link you SteamID, it's optional.
Good luck!
Section 2 - Information
- I will be selecting at least 3 entries
- This offer will be open for at least 24 hours
Section 3 - Terms & Conditions (Need to know / REQUIRED reading)
You must read, understand and comply with ALL the rules of /r/GiftofGames. Please note that the rules may have changed since you last read them. It is in your best interest to check the rules regularly and ensure you comply with them. If you choose not to read, or to simply ignore the rules, your entry may be disqualified from this giveaway AND all future giveaways that I may hold.
If you have received a game from any gifting subreddit that has no playtime (or very little playtime) your request will be given low priority or may not be considered at all (because you should be playing the game you previously won). I don't mind if you have unplayed games that you have purchased yourself, but I believe games that are received as gifts should be played as a basic courtesy to the gifter.
If your post history consists mainly of game requests and giveaway entries your request will not be considered.
Giveaway items are for personal use only. Winners must activate games immediately upon receiving them. Also (and this is the most important part), you must completely ignore all the instructions in section 1. I am only interested in looking at requests from people who have taken the time to read this entire post as I instructed in the very first line, so anybody who follows the instructions in section 1 is automatically disqualified. Instead, please write a response and tell me the (top 3) game(s) you've been wanting to play, and why. Remember to link your SteamID and, if possible, provide a link to the game. If it was an unfulfilled request, link that request too. Also list the most recent games (up to 5) you were gifted and how much playtime have you put into them. (I'll be checking!). Finally, make sure your Steam wishlist is up to date and in order (at least your top 5 games). If your primary request can't be fulfilled you may be offered an alternative.
Section 4 - Things to be aware of (Nice to know / optional reading)
I wrote a Guide to Getting Gifted (which is now featured in the sidebar!). You may choose to read this to further understand what I (and perhaps other gifters) look for when deciding which request to fulfill. It may increase your chances here or with any future requests you might make on /r/GiftofGames.
It is my belief that the quality of your request should reflect the value of the game. While all requests should meet a minimum standard to be considered, requests for higher value games should be of a higher standard and reflect a higher level of effort. If you'd like to see examples of successful requests for expensive games see the following:
Please be aware that there is still an element of luck involved - even if you make an excellent post, your chances are higher but you still may not win. This could be for a variety of reasons - see below
I will be reading every comment here, but since I do not have the time to respond to every single post individually here is a quick list of some of the possible reasons your entry may not be selected:
I may not be able to obtain the game you requested due to regional restrictions (as I am not based in the US), availability or personal choice.
Your request was too brief. (For me, any request with less than 5 lines of text is too brief. I enjoy reading.).
You did not follow one or more rules
Your entry did not meet the criteria outlined in the above Terms & Conditions section.
Luck of the draw. There may have been several equally great entries for 1 game, and I randomly chose the winner.
I do not respond to unsolicited PMs regarding game requests. Any such PMs will be ignored and reported to the mods.
WINNERS
Dannflor - Bioshock 1 & 2
G4M3R_117 - Final Fantasy XIII-2
Jaska95 - Life is strange - Complete Season (Episodes 1-5)
50_shades_of_whey - Skyrim

EDIT: Offer is now CLOSED!
I will be spending the next few hours (and probably the next day) selecting people to gift to.
Many thanks to everyone who followed the first instruction in BOLD CAPITAL LETTERS and actually read the entire post from beginning to end. There were obviously some who did not and some who just skimmed instead of actually reading. The good thing is, people who posted a valid entry had a higher chance of winning as all invalid entries were disqualified, as outlined in section 3, point 4.
Even after this giveaway has concluded, I will still be looking at /r/Giftofgames for individual [Request] posts to fulfill. As long as the post and the requester meet my basic criteria I will read and consider them.
Thanks for reading :)
