I used to play a lot of Starcraft back in the day (specifically around ~2009, when I played Starcraft every afternoon after school). I havenāt been able to get Starcraft 2, even though itās been out for quite a while, mainly out of disinterest, as I had moved onto something else by the time Starcraft 2 rolled out, and being a broke teenager also contributed to the cause..
I especially liked the "Diplomacy" custom games series for Starcraft multiplayer, I used to play a lot of āAge of Empiresā around the time I was obsessed with Starcraft, so, it only made sense. A couple of days ago, I got a Starcraft 2 free game-time key from another giveaway on GoG, to try it out. I LOVED the game, to say the least. Pretty much everything seemed to have improved, ESPECIALLY the 21st century graphics.
It was nice seeing old faces again, and I had shivers running down my back when Raynor said "Sometimes, I think it would've been best for you to have died that day" while looking at an old picture of Ghost Kerrigan. So much nostalgia, so many memoriesā¦
I completed all 4 of the first Terran missions that were available to me as a free trial user, and I'm dying to finish the campaign, since it sort of left on a cliffhanger, on what was going to happen next. I picked the mission to help evacuate the colony that was being overrun by the Zerg. Iām interested to see if that will influence the storyline for the rest of the Terran campaign :)
My favourite Starcraft race is Zerg, and even my Heroes of the Storm (Blizzard MoBA) hero purchases reflect that, as I currently own 2 heroes, Abathur and Zagara. Unfortunately, I can't exactly say that I remember them from the original Starcraft, but I'm dying to find out more about their story and experiencing it myself, instead of reading it on a Wikia or something.
My Battle Tag is #squishyface1463 (and yes, I was not in a sound state of mind when I chose that name as my Battle tag, but I have no regrets!), so if you want to hit me up or something, then, uhm, feel free! (I seriously have no idea what Blizzard's gifting policy is like, so, uhm, if you need my email or anything to gift it, then feel free to shoot me a PM on Reddit!)
Thanks for taking the time to read this :)
