I know this request will probably be buried under all the other request coming in due to the Steam Autumn sale, but it doesn't hurt to try.
I already have a few of the games in the pack already in my library, so I only have my eyes on the games that I don't already own. For the past few months, I have gotten very into playing FPS and open world games. I never saw the fun in FPS games until I got a gaming pc and was able to play many games with mouse and keyboard. Once I started playing games like BioShock Infinite, Fallout 3, and Half-Life 2, I really enjoyed that surge of energy you feel when you are about to be attacked - you feel it even if you know you are about to be attacked - and you must defend yourself.
I haven't had much free time to play games due to school and studying for midterms (you can see on my profile that most of my games haven't even been played yet), but that should change because I'll have lots of time during my Thanksgiving holiday and upcoming Christmas holiday. Out of the games I have put some time in, they all seem very fun, but I constantly feel like they are lacking something; that aspect that they seem to be missing is multiplayer features. I find multiplayer games to be much more fun and challenging than simply battling the AI. Thats why I've had my eye on the Counter-Strike series and Portal 2.
CS: GO, specifically, seems to be very popular among gamers and it has gotten many positive reviews so i've been wanting to play it for a while now. As for Portal 2, I have played Portal before and it is definitely one of my favorite games, so to me it seems logical to buy Portal 2 considering its "overwhelmingly positive" rating. With Portal 2 having multiplayer capabilities, I will also be able to play with friends.
Since the Valve Complete Pack is on sale for $24.99, with the original price being $99.99, and it offers so many great games, I feel confident in spending money on it because I know it will be worth it. However, due to some financial problems, I can't justify spending even $1 on games right now - I'm currently in college and will soon run out of meals on my meal plan so I will have to start paying out of pocket to eat until next semester when funds are disbursed and I can purchase another meal plan.
