Welcome to MaximumDan's Second Chance giveaway! Yes, this could be yet another giveaway you miss out on! But then again, there's always a chance you might win this one :)

Be aware that there is a substantial amount of reading involved as part of this offer. If spending some time reading is something you are unwilling or unable to do, then this offer is not for you and you may move on to another one. There are many great offers running on /r/GiftofGames at the moment.

So, on to the offer:

1. Tell me the game(s) you've been wanting to play, and why. The game must be currently released - no preorders (sorry to those hoping for Watch_Dogs, Wildstar etc..)

2. What was the most recent game(s) you were gifted and how much playtime have you put into it? (I'll be checking!) If you have previously received a game from any gifting subreddit that you have put very little playtime into, I suggest you should be playing that game before asking for something else.

3. Make sure your Steam wishlist is up to date and in order (at least your top 3 games). If your request can't be fulfilled you may be offered an alternative.

Terms & Conditions (Need to know / required reading)

1. You must read, understand and comply with ALL the rules of /r/GiftofGames. Please note that the rules may have changed since you last read them. It is in your best interest to check the rules regularly and ensure you comply with them. If you choose not to read, or to simply ignore the rules, your entry may be disqualified from this giveaway AND all future giveaways that I may hold.

2. If your post history consists mainly of game requests and giveaway entries your request will not be considered.

3. If you have received a game from any gifting subreddit in the past week, your request will not be considered (because I expect you will be playing that game you won)

4. Giveaway items are for personal use only. Winners must activate games immediately upon receiving them.

Things to be aware of (Nice to know / optional reading)

1. I wrote a Guide to Getting Gifted (which is now featured in the sidebar!). You may choose to read this to further understand what I (and perhaps other gifters) look for when deciding which request to fulfill. It may increase your chances here or with any future requests you might make on /r/GiftofGames.

2. There is still an element of luck involved - even if you make an excellent post, your chances are higher but you still may not win. This could be for a variety of reasons - see below

I will be reading every comment here, but since I do not have the time to respond to every single post individually here is a quick list of some of the possible reasons your entry may not be selected:

1. Your request may not currently be part of my gift inventory, or I may not be able to obtain it for various reasons.

2. Your request was too brief. (For me, any request with less than 4 lines of text is too brief. I enjoy reading.)

3. You did not follow one or more rules

4. Your entry did not meet the criteria outlined in the above Terms & Conditions section.

5. Luck of the draw. There may have been several equally great entries for 1 game, and I randomly chose the winner.

I do not respond to unsolicited PMs regarding game requests. Any such PMs will be ignored and reported to the mods.

I have recently discovered the joys of Reddit Enhancement Suite and I've become a huge fan of RES tags. I already have a few users tagged as 'DO NOT GIFT' and I'd rather not add any more to that list. I also have a few users tagged as 'WOULD GIFT AGAIN'. I wouldn't mind adding more to this list.

Thanks for playing everyone! I had the choice of gifting a few people higher value games like DayZ and Dark Souls II or gifting more people more moderate value games. In the end I decided to spread the joy and give multiple moderate-priced games rather than just a few expensive ones. I hope people understand, it was not an easy choice. However in the near future I may be doing a giveaway for higher value items with only 1 or 2 winners, so stay tuned!
