Firstly, before you go any further, be aware that there is a substantial amount of reading involved as part of this offer. If spending some time reading is something you are unwilling or unable to do, then this offer is not for you and you may move on to the next one.
About a month ago I held a fairly successful giveaway in which I committed to giving away 3-5 games, and I ended up giving away 8. The main stipulation was that offer was that the game would be one that you would "put a lot of hours into playing." This is also the main criteria of this giveaway.
So, why am I doing a giveaway instead of fulfilling existing requests? Well, unfortunately many of the recent request posts are of the '3-lines-or-less' variety, and I don't give those more than a few seconds of my time before closing the window. If a request appears as if it has taken very little time and effort to write, then I will typically ignore it.
Once again, I have a number of games on offer but I am not going to disclose what they are. This time around I will also commit to giving away 3-5 games.
So what do you need to do? Simply tell me the game/bundle/DLC you want, why you want it and convince me you will put many hours into it. Is the game on your wishlist? Have you asked for it previously? What can you tell me about the game? These are some of the things you may want to cover as part of your post.
I keep a spreadsheet of all my gifts and periodically check in to see how many hours people have put into them. I'm happy to report that most of the people who I have gifted previously have indeed put significant playtime into their games.
Terms & Conditions (Need to know / required reading)
You must read, understand and comply with all the rules of the /r/GiftofGames subreddit. This is very important. There are some fundamental (and very simple) rules that people have not been following lately, the easiest of which is including your SteamID as part of your request if you are asking for a Steam game. Don't be one of those people. Any entry that is in violation of any of the rules will be disqualified from this giveaway AND all future giveaways that I may hold.
You must have a minimum of 100 Karma in either category (ie. 100 Link Karma or 100 Comment Karma)
Giveaway items are for personal use only. Winners must activate games immediately upon receiving them.
Things to be aware of (Nice to know / optional reading)
I wrote a Guide to Getting Gifted. You may choose to read this to further understand what I (and perhaps other gifters) look for when deciding which request to fulfill. It may increase your chances here. For those who have read it before, I have made a slight amendment.
There is still an element of luck involved - even if you make an excellent post, your chances are higher but you still may not win. This could be for a variety of reasons - eg. You will not win if the game you requested is not currently part of my inventory, or you haven't put significant playtime into your previous gift, or your post history consists mostly (or entirely) of requests and giveaway entries, etc..
I do not respond to unsolicited PMs regarding game requests. Any such PMs will be ignored and reported to the mods.
You can be assured that I will read every entry, but unfortunately I will not be able to respond to every single one of them.
I'll be selecting winners in approximately 24-36 hours.
Best of luck!

EDIT #2 Round 1 concluded, apologies to those who missed out on this occasion :(
Since I do not have the time to respond to everyone individually, and I will not be responding to any PMs regarding gifting games, here is a quick list of some of the possible reasons for those who missed out.
The game you requested is not currently part of my gift inventory.
Your request was too brief. (You'd know this if you'd read my entire post)
You did not follow one or more rules
You recently won a game that you have not yet put a lot of playtime into
Your post history consists mostly of game requests and giveaway entries.
I may have the game and not yet decided who should win it.
Remember, /r/GiftofGames part of the 'kindness' group of subreddits. We prefer to give to people who are likely to perpetuate kindness.
EDIT #3
I will be doing another complete read-through over the next 12 hours 24 hours where a second (and final) group of winners will be selected. Some entries just barely missed out on getting gifted and could possibly be salvaged by the author. I will check again tomorrow (September 10, 00:30 UTC/GMT time) to see if I can fulfill more requests. I will also look at new requests between now and then.
Good luck!
EDIT #4 Congratulations to the following (Round 2) winners:
- /u/ControlledCacophony2 - The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings
- /u/shockjumpin - Batman: Arkham Asylum Game of the Year Edition
Thanks to all who participated, I must say the caliber of (most of) the posts here was exceptional. I appreciate the time taken for people to write. There are some fine examples of how requests should be put together.
A special mention to those who asked for Payday 2 - unfortunately I do not have these in my gift inventory.. yet .
