Hello, GoG! I'm Lauren, A.K.A. Rhyvinn! And I'm here to request the game Baldur's Gate 3 for Steam! I know it's a huge ask, as it's a fairy new game (released in August of last year), with a fairly steep price point. But here I am giving it a shot anyways! xD

Baldur’s Gate 3, developed by Larian Studios, is a story-rich, party-based RPG set in the universe of Dungeons & Dragons, where your choices shape a tale of fellowship and betrayal, survival and sacrifice, and the lure of absolute power.

Game sales have surpassed 10 million copies globally across all platforms since its release just a few months ago. And it has been received amazingly well. It is rated 10/10 on IGN, 9.2/10 on Metacritic, and is rated Overwhelmingly Positive on Steam with over 500,000 reviews. Baldur's Gate 3 has also received several awards, including Steam Awards 2023; Game of the Year; and Outstanding Story-Rich Game.

About Me:

I'm Lauren, but online I go by Rhyvinn. I am 35F and live in Washington, USA. I'm very silly/dumb and sarcastic. I don't have many friends because I am nerdy af and very socially awkward. (But I'm trying to work on that, lol!)

I am a long-time gamer. I'll play just about anything, but my favorite genres are RPGs and Souls games and Souls-like games! I also play some Online Multiplayer games like League and Fortnite; MMOs like Oldschool Runescape... And so, so much more.

Besides playing video games, I enjoy drawing and animating; programming; and trying to create my own 2D games! I also enjoy cooking; photography; psychology; and building PCs and giving old people free tech support, lol.

Why I Want the Game, and Why I Am Requesting Here:

If you're a gamer, you have almost definitely heard about this game. It just looks soooo fun and everyone is playing it and I want in on the party, lol!

I grew up playing the 2 previous Baldur's Gate games and absolutely loved them. (I know the 3rd is quite a bit different, but still, haha.) I also have played most of the Divinity games, so I have somewhat of a loyalty to Larian Studios, lol.

I have always wanted to play DnD game (IRL), but sadly don't know anyone or know how I would even get started, haha, and I feel like this game is almost a stepping stone? A way to get more into the DnD genre in general. I also love fantasy RPGs and similar and just feel like I could spend SO many hours having fun with this game!

I am also a huge achievement hunter, and Baldur's Gate 3 has 54 of them! And I want them all T^T .... Achievements/100%-ing a game gives me more of an ultimate end goal and more motivation to play and keep playing!

I had to quit my last job as a manager of a bakery a few months ago due to some mental health issues. I'm doing a bit better, but still might not be ready for another regular job. At the moment, I only do occasional freelance work, selling some quick pieces of artwork or small programs/scripts here and there. I love doing it most of the time, but it has been tough. I have highly varying levels of motivation and productivity, etc.. and so, needless to say there isn't a whole lot of money coming in, haha. And there's usually not much left over, especially to spend on fun things like games.

It would mean SO MUCH to me to be able to play this game! I feel it would be the perfect thing to play, even when feeling not-so-great , as it can be a bit more laid back and casual to other things I have been playing lately!
