Hello, I would like to state that this is a beg request or a pity me request, and I also would love to say thank you for even clicking on this post and reading it; it’s greatly appreciated. However, this post isn’t meant to be a begging post, and if it looks like one, I’m deeply sorry. I would also like to know how I know that the bundle is $11.77 and I’m asking for a $25 Steam gift, and the only reason I’m asking for that amount is because it's the only (and cheapest) amount that Steam has that would let me purchase the bundle, and the only reason I’m asking for a Steam gift card is because Steam doesn’t let you gift other people's bundles. However, I think I did enough talking, and I should just talk about why I want this bundle so badly.
Okay, hi, my name is Difficult-Tap, and if you haven’t realized before, I’m a huge Star Wars fan. Now, I must be honest. I'm not the greatest fan of the fandom of Star Wars, but I’m a fan of the brilliant world that George Lucas created. I mean, my favorite character is Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader because of the sadness the character evokes. But this isn’t a post talking about that. I’m really here to talk about my love of Star Wars and how being gifted this bundle would truly mean the world to me.
So I first discovered Star Wars when I was 7. My dad, at the time, who was serving in the Air Force as a Vehicle Management Specialist, was coming back home for reintegration, and when he came back, I’ll be honest, I didn’t know who he really was. I mean, I saw pictures and heard stories of him. But I never knew who he was, as the last time I mentioned him was when I was one. However, my mom told me that my dad was going to take me out to the movie for some bonding time, and the movie that he took me to was Star Wars: Attack of the Clones. And let me just say I loved you. I loved everything about it—the battle, the X-wings, the lightsabers, every single thing. After the movie was over, my dad told me all about the original trilogy, and then he bought those, and we watched them together. Even since I had my beloved toy, the X-Wing, that I got on Christmas of that year, that I loved, I played the original Battlefront game to death. I just grew to love Star Wars and its world.
I think I should tell you about the three games involved in the bundle:
First off is STAR WARSTM: Squadron, a game that reminds me a ton of Star Wars: Rogue Squadron on the N64. Is a game that looks freakin awesome. I loved Rogue Squadron for the feeling of going into the cockpit of an X-Wing and getting into an epic dogfight with another person. The game was awesome, and this look just liked what Rogue Squadron was with better graphics and even more epic missions to play!
Then there is Star Wars Jedi: Fallen OrderTM, a game I must say out of the three I know less about but am most intrigued by the single-player story and soul-like combat.
Lastly, there is Star Wars Battlefront II, which looks like the best game in the bundle. I still remember playing the original Battlefront game back in the day. I don’t know how to explain, but this game looks amazing.
However, why can’t I purchase it? Well, that falls on multiple things. You see, I wanted to get this bundle on the Spring Sale, but I just didn’t have the money because I’m pretty tight. I mean, I have bills, a family, and loans to pay off, and I don’t really want to tell you how my financial situation is on Reddit, nor do I want to beg, so I’ll just say that the situation isn’t good.
I’m mostly writing this to say I would love to explore these games, and I would love to show my sons these games. These games are something that gives me a ton of nostalgia, and I would be extremely grateful if someone of such kindness would gift them to me.
Thank You
