Hey there :)
I prefer to make requests/buy games when they're on sale, but I've checked out Persona 4 Golden on Isthereanydeal and it seems that the game doesn't really go on sale on Steam. It's only gone up in price because of inflation/the Canadian dollar not doing so well, so it has a history of being at $15.59, without being on sale.
These tend to get a bit away from me and just like the times before, this post got a bit long. Sorry for the massive text wall and I hope it's got enough relevant info without being too much of a slog or reading like filler.

Why Persona 4 Golden?
I was thinking about requesting the new Persona 3 Reload game but I haven't played the 4th one which is much more affordable and seems to be just as good gameplay-wise, so that seemed to be a bit unnecessary. It might be slightly less flashy with the older graphics (released on Steam in 2020, but released originally in 2012), but I grew up with much more lackluster graphics and actually sort of enjoy the "old" look so I don't mind so much. Looking at stuff for Reload got me pumped about the series again though and put it back on my radar, so I figured I'd post a request for Persona 4 Golden which I've had my eye on for the past couple years.
I was lucky enough to be given Persona 5 Royal by someone I know this past year and really enjoyed that one. I'm right near the end in that one, but got myself pretty soft-locked by playing ~80 hours before realizing you can switch out Personas mid-battle. Lesson learned haha. Don't have it in me to replay ~85 hours within such a short amount of time, but at least it'll be something to revisit in a year or two. Despite getting stuck that far into it, it's definitely way up there as one of my favourite games. Also despite missing out on a pretty core gameplay mechanic lol
My cousin played Persona 4 Golden a few years back and said she recommended it and like it a lot more than she expected to. We tend to have the same taste in things and same interests so I trust that I'd also like the 4th one quite a lot, even if it's not quite the same sort of experience as the 5th one. It seems to follow the same sort of idea with jumping into people's subconsciousnesses which I really enjoy as an ex psychology student (it's interesting to see how people use that sort of stuff in storytelling). I'm also a huge animation (and anime) nerd and love how they have the fully 2D animated cutscenes sprinkled throughout the game just like they did in the 5th one. Seems like a pretty close experience to the 5th one and I'd love to spend more time playing essentially that game, but with a different story-line/characters.
Why I don't have the budget to buy it fullprice
I'd made some Request posts earlier this past year after being homeless (due to neuro issues) and unable to buy any games for myself whatsoever after my cards got stolen while I was on the street and were then in overdraft. Thankfully, I've made a lot of progress since then and have gotten on disability. It doesn't pay a lot though (I've done the math and it gives less than half what you would get working minimum wage where I live) so my budget's pretty tight.
I'm still living with my parents so I've been able to afford rent and whatnot, but I still don't have much expendable income. I do have a bit of money coming in now though, rather than being in overdraft like before, so I figured I'd post a request for about half the cost of the game instead of asking for someone to buy the whole game for me. I could technically stretch myself and cover the other half of the game's price, but I've also got some unavoidable expenses coming up in the next few months that I need to be prioritizing and despite knowing I'd be putting 80 hours into this game, it still feels a bit out of my comfort zone to spend a a whole $30 bucks CAD on it when I know I'll need the funds soon.
For anyone looking for an update from my last posts: I'd mentioned before that I'm not planning on staying on disability and I've figured out what job I'd like to set myself up for which is exciting, so I'm starting to make moves towards making that happen. As far as my health, I'm going to get another MRI within the next year (don't have an exact date yet) so hopefully there's been no extra growth or anything, and been treading water with medication management and such so far. Things are looking up :)
Closing Remarks
I'm Requesting ~$15 dollars in Canadian (CAD) giftcard funds for Persona 4 Golden. I say "~" because depending on where you gift a giftcard from, the conversion rate will change the currency/amount. Ie a giftcard for $10 USD would be $13.47 CAD which would be ~$15 CAD and work perfectly well. Similarily, 10 Euro would be 14.50$ CAD, etc. Here's a conversion thing if you're looking into gifting the Steam funds (you'd just hit the drop-down menu on the currency and switch it to whatever your currency is to see the value difference between the currency you use and CAD).

Thanks to any of those who read this far, or even to those who have skimmed down to the end. Cheers.
