Thanks for your attention if you made it this far, have a good night!

I humbly present myself before you as I would like to request COD Black OPS Cold War.

I seriously would love to get back to playing first person shooters as it's been so long since I last played one. My last Cod game was MW1 (2019) as I felt that Cod was no longer relevant to me anymore and I was gravitating to single players games more. My first introduction into FPS was Halo back on the Xbox when my mom bought me the game as a Christmas gift. Little did I know what I had received when I opened the disc tray on the Xbox, placed Halo Combat Evolved in the disc tray, and booted up the game.

The first thing I remember was the iconic music intro that Halo is so vastly known for. I've never been a fan of rock music, but the soundtrack was phenomenal and I can't remember how many times I would purposely delete the save file just to play the single player again and again. I still remember the 2nd mission where you start off with a sniper and have to kill off the Covenant while using night vision. It was such a memorable game and I don't know where Halo lost that magic (not the point but man do I wish the more recent games could have retained the magic of original 3 games).

Ever since then I've always been a huge fan of FPS as they became my favorite genre with games like Rainbow Six New Vegas 1 & 2, Doom 3, House of the Dead (would really love to this series make a comeback as the remake was not it) and Timesplitters being amongst the ones that I really enjoyed. I had never tried out online as I only played local multiplayer but when I got COD4 MW, it was the first time I had played a COD game as well as online. I still remember my ever first match and it was on Bog and I was so lost. I could hear everyone screaming (private parties still wasn't a thing) and there was a chopper in the sky and I was hiding in the bus. I had gotten 3 kills and 15 deaths and all I could think of was how amazing it felt to be able to play with people from all over.

COD4 MW was how I met some of my best friends that I still stay in contact with to this day. Somewhere along the way I started to get tired of fps as I wanted to try other genres, which helped me become a more rounded gamer as I love to play almost all types of games. The last COD game I played was COD MW (2019) and I only ended up playing it for about 5 months before I moved on. The story I enjoyed but for some reason the multiplayer got boring for me and it think in part it's because I was playing so many fps that I wanted to play other games.

Fast forward to now and I find myself missing playing with others, even if they're complete strangers who are teenagers that love to yell in the mics about how big their junk is and how they know our moms (I used to trash talk so much in high school in online games so I'm sorry of one of those were you). I miss playing competitive games with friends even if I'm not nearly as good as I used to be and entering a multiplayer game that has been out for several years makes it hard for new comers. I've looked at the more recent games and the general consensus seems to be that MW2 (2022) has a lot of issues and isn't liked by the community, while Vanguard was a step in the wrong direction.

That leaves Cold War, which seems to be loved by many as it was a return to formed COD games, has an amazing zombies mode (I miss this game mode so much), enjoyable story, and a multiplayer that many enjoyed. I know every COD game gets hated on and people always spout how they're the same game every year but if there is one thing I think these games do is that they offer smooth gameplay that many really enjoy. I also have a friend who has the game and I'd love to play this game with him like we used to on the older COD games. Since coming over to PC, it's been really lonely as well as I graduated to PC and my friends stayed on consoles, leaving me to only play single player games.

So why do I want Cold War? I don't want to bore you with what a COD game is about since I'm sure many of you know, but the reason why I used to enjoy them was because I loved playing against other players in fps. COD has done such a good job of that while immersing you (yes I know recently there have been a lot of character skins as well as cosmetics that don't fit in the world setting) in the game. Say what you will about COD and how it's a yearly cash grab, but there is just something about COD that keeps players coming back for more. From what I've read, Cold War has a really good story that does a really good job of setting the world with characters that you actually enjoy. I'm one of those few COD players that plays the story first before entering multiplayer because while not all have been good (Infinite Warefare was just terrible) but they end up being passable stories like those good old tvs shows you go back to for comfort.

Cold War also has a lot of content from the regular multiplayer modes to zombies (can't wait to play this the most as well as Dead Ops) as well as Warzone (not a huge fan of this as BR games just aren't my thing). Did I also mention that this game takes place during the Cold War in the early 1980s so we'll get to see some classic guns. As this is regarded as one of the fan favorites, this is the COD I would love to come back to as apparently they did a lot of things right by this COD game. Anyways sorry if I've been ranting on for so long but I thought I'd give some insight as to why I'm requesting this game.

Thanks for your attention if you made it this far and have a good night!
