Hey everyone :)
So I just discovered this sub and even tho I still feel a little uncomfortable doing this, I'll give it a try.
Why I would like to play ELDEN RING
I'm quite new to the Soulsbourne/Souls-like Genre. I only played games like Hollow Knight, Blasphemous 1 & 2 and Shovel Knight and I really enjoyed them, I also very much adore games like Skyrim and The Witcher 3 and I would love to play a completely new RPG, because there isn't much else in this category or of this kind of scale. And Elden Ring basically feels like the fusion of Blasphemous and Skyrim, at least from what I know so far (which isn't a lot because I always try to avoid as much spoilers as possible, which is curse and blessing in general)
I love dark atmospheres, I love to play heavy hitting and heavily armored knights and I love menacing and intimidating bosses. I think it is well known that especially games from FromSoftware are highly praised among the gaming community and I would like to finally start playing one of there games and I decided for ELDEN RING because it seems like this one has the most freedoms.
Why haven't I bought ELDEN RING myself yet
Basically every week I google something like "FromSoftware difficulty ranking" because I'm afraid I make the wrong decision or it might actually too hard for me or something. I never dared to actually spend the money on one of their games, especially because I'm unemployed for 3 years now (but will start a new job next month so no worries here).
I'm also very indecisive when it comes to stuff like this, especially when so many of their games are claimed to be great. As I said, I try to do a lot of research regarding the difficulty, because it's my biggest fear that I would stop playing because it's to hard, but on the other hand, I kind of know that I have the skills to finish and maybe even 100% the games (except they have achievements like speedrun or never die, I'm not good at those). It's another example for the duality of man.
Final words
If you're reading this, I'm already very grateful that you took the time to read all of this, I really appreciate it!
Now for the formalities (I hope I understood the rules correctly):
