So to be completely honest, it's been a long while since I have touched a RPG game. I used to be a big fan of RPGs, primarily JRPGs, back during my childhood, but as it always happens, slowly but surely newer games eclipsed what my pc could handle and as I moved away for college, eventually gaming itself ended up taking a back seat. It has only been about 2 years since that I got back into my old gaming habits again and barely a year since I started modern gaming after buying a system capable of handling newer releases without falling apart. Since then I have played my shares of genres that I had never touched upon before but I have found myself hesitant to touch the genres that I used to spend hours in like RTS and RPGs, partly because of the time sink they used to be.
But now I feel like I'm ready to take that plunge.
Of course circumstances are unfortunately not aligned for me at the moment. I already had my eyes set on AOE 2 Definitive Edition for this sale. And just about two weeks ago I fell in love with the Sniper Elite series gameplay after trying it out on gamepass and knew I couldn't pass the opportunity for snagging Sniper Elite 4 when I saw how cheap it was going for.
And thus we arrive here, me making this request for The Witcher 3 with the only repayment being my eternal gratitude and a fervent promise to 100% this or die trying.
As for why I'm picking the last part of the trilogy to start with? I mean it's not the fist time I've done this, I started with Prince of Persia Two Thrones after all before going backwards. And with that in mind I thought picking the game in the series that has the most modern gameplay would be the best way to get myself back into the RPG headspace again especially since the general consensus I read is that the first two games aren't that integral to enjoying the story of Wild Hunt.
That said, I do definitely plan on playing through the first two parts of the trilogy once I've finished the third one, now made easier by the fact I was able to claim a free copy of the first game from gog (thanks again u/SebDoesWords for informing of the gog giveway since I wasn't at all aware of it).
That's all. And if you made it until the end, even you can't afford to gift it, thank you for reading nonetheless!
P.S.
Added the gift card option as due to regional pricing the cost of the complete edition is way more cheaper than in some other countries, which would cost the gifter less too.
