I would like to request Planet Zoo.

I consider myself a very well-rounded gamer and love to try new genres or games in series I typically don’t play. I really enjoy playing action, platform, and rpgs the most but once in a while I like to dabble in something new. Simulation games are among that list and the games I have ever played in this genre are the Sims. Recently I have been looking at Planet Zoo and it has caught my curiosity.

What has caught my eye about Planet Zoo is how creative someone can get with zoo’s and all of the customization options you have when it comes to creating the habits for the animals. I love that you have preset buildings for people like me that aren’t as creative but that the game gives you the freedom to create your own habits, buildings, caves, mountains, and so much more. You can literally customize everything piece by piece to make a truly unique zoo. I can easily see myself letting loose creating rivers, waterfalls, mountains, and making the habitats look realistic like in the wild.

This games also lets others share their creative ideas where you can take others designs and implement them into your zoo. From what I have looked up online, there is a very active and helpful community which would help a new comer like me. This is all done through the steam workshop and it’s a really great idea because it’s brings additional content to the game.

I have been looking for a game where I can sink hundreds of hours into that allows me to relax when I want to, or to challenge me when I need it. In the game your are like the caretaker of the zoo and it’s your responsibility to ensure that the guests are enjoying the exhibits, have food, and enough habitats to keep them coming back. It is also your responsibility to create habitats for each animal that will keep them happy, appropriate size, structures for them to play, as well as staff to care for them. You also have to research and manage each species to allow them to thrive, and help your animals raise families to pass their genes onto future generations. You are literally managing the entire zoo and while that can sound stressful or overwhelming, it adds to the challenge.

On the other end though, you can follow animals around as the game lets you zoom in real close and observe the animals interacting with the other animals, playing within the habitats, and behaving in a realistic way. What’s so great about this game is that the visuals are very good and depending on how detailed the habitats are, it can almost look like these animals are actually in the wild. As someone who loves animals and seeing how they act in the wild, this is such an amazing and peaceful way to relax.

Planet Zoo is like a love letter to people who love animals and are looking for a game that has infinite replay value.
