About to start on PS5, couple of queetions

Hi, about to play this. I remember there was some complications with graphics settings when it came out, but also vrr got added later and maybe patches changed things as well, so not sure old articles/ videos are still accurate.
- What's the best graphics settings to use? I'd prefer ray tracing and a frame rate of at least 40, highest resolution that meets those (guessing 1080 8( ). I have a vrr 120hz capable TV.
- Are there multiple endings? If so is it possible to give relatively spoiler free tips for the best ending.
- Anything missable that affects your builds or the understanding of the plot (so don't care too much about things like flavour only cutscenes)?
