As a twist on a traditional goblin adventure/encounter, I think it would be amazing if the posting on Hoolwatch Tower was to catch a group of goblins that stole a small skiff.

The patron could simply be a group of fishers who had their boat stolen (maybe there's a young kid on the boat with the goblins captive).

You could introduce the basics of ship combat, get some classic goblin fighting in there, and I can't even imagine how many antics would ensue.

The fishers could offer their smaller boat to the party to use to get to them.

I just thought this was a fun idea that I wanted to share xD I think my players are going to jump at the chance.
