Anomaly on image in old (1900) house in Oakland CA

I thought the original untouched work in this former hunting lodge turned home was amazing. As I was looking at it tonight I noticed a misty anomaly in the center of the crossbeam next to the post. Clearly there was some glare as this was around 11 am and today was a bright sunny day. This seems different though. This is the first time I’ve ever seen anything, or noticed it anyway, in any photo I’ve ever taken. I’m a huge skeptic. I’d love opinions on this.
