Looking at doing a Youtube channel for paranormal investigating. How universal are camcorder, IR lights, shotgun mics, and gimbals to connect to each other? Any good budget freindly combos to recommend?

As the title says. I am looking at getting into paranormal investigating and looking to film it, and put it up Youtube. In order to record though I need some equipment to film, but nothing super fancy. I know there are a lot budget options when I look on Amazon, but I have no idea how well they are universally compatible with one another. I am also curious if anyone has any recommendations. Thanks!
