Hi, I’m interested to learn more about philosophy and economics. I’m particularly interested to explore the different schools of thought and how contemporary thinkers and doers design and test systems based on these theoretical paradigms.
There’s no particular one or list of books I’ll study but I propose that we follow a particular note taking system in which we’ll engage with the text actively, noting down a) striking direct quotations, b) newly-generated ideas that connect to the practical world or other disciplines, c) paraphrases of key themes that are necessary for context and d) insights (differs from b that it is understanding about the subject matter presented in the text gained by engaging with the text), an adaptation of the zettelkasten but with more focus on internalizing knowledge than cataloging information.
We can discuss other activities as we proceed but first send me a dm ;)
