First month, need to improve!
Post Body

I was diagnosed at around 26 weeks, I’m now 31 weeks. I wasn’t convinced I had GD because I ate straight up icing the day after diagnosis- it was my 30th birthday! I was shocked my numbers were not insanely high. On the other hand, my fasting numbers are ALWAYS high! Wtf!

We had our baby shower last weekend so we’ve been eating leftovers from that, mixed with no groceries so I haven’t been doing as well as I’d like- but I’ve only had one high reading besides my fasting numbers, of 155.

I began at 15u Levimir each night, and this week, I met with the dietician for the first time and they upped it to 17u- doesn’t seem to have made a damn difference either!

I have been restless the past few days, so I’m up insanely early. I woke up at 5am today, waiting till 6am to take my fasting and it was 94. Wtf!

I was given these ranges: 60-90 for fasting Under 130 for 1hr post meals

I’ll be honest, I don’t know what I can do or change to help my fasting numbers. I guess I need to get better at getting walks in, and make sure my bedtime snack is full of fat and not just carbs- I’ve been struggling with that. My anxiety has also been bad in general, to where I psyched myself out for an hour yesterday about my injection- I finally had my bf do it. God love him, he’s super squeamish and did it anyway!

TL;DR- what can I do to improve my fasting numbers?
