Feeling defeated thanks to Costco

Post Body

At the end of 2022 we had a gift card to use at Costco. Decided it was time to buy a new microwave even though we only use it for popcorn. That is a purchase we'd regret to this day! We eat out a lot so it took us a while to notice the German roaches but by February they began to appear more and more. We thought the dish washer must have had a leak or something so we decided to replace it, it was time as well, still there. We did a deep clean and did 3 roach bombs in the kitchen (all appliances removed, including stove, dishwasher and fridge) and they were still there. We moved out of the kitchen to deprive them of food and leave just baits and boric acid, still there.

We read a reddit that stated light torture and it seemed to work. After almost 6 weeks of 24 hour light and no appliances in the kitchen and eating from paper plates We thought finally they are gone and moved in back to the kitchen. This morning we found a German roach hanging out in the sink.

This is insane! We eventually figured out it was the new Costco microwave by backtracking when it started and to ease our minds we decided to take the microwave apart to see and low and behold, the inside was full of evidence of roach droppings. We had not found anything in the kitchen with this much roach evidence even when we got rid of the dishwasher. So we had to purchase a new microwave.

We are literally exhausted and seriously considering selling the house. Sounds crazy but we have never experienced roaches yet alone years of it.

So does the alpine really work??? We have so many baits, traps, insect spray, boric acid, etc to start our own pest control company (granted we wouldn't be good ones lol) and we've spent so much money on new appliances we are so exhausted and can't take another disappointment.

Help!!!!!!!!!!
