What Is The Correct Translation Of "Abolish" In The Context Of Marxism?

Post Body

Marx apparently uses the phrase "aufhebung des privateigentums und der arbeit" and "abschaffung." The debate is as to whether aufhebung actually is closer to "sublation" or "supersede" (which is more in the influence of Hegel's usage). The difference, to me, is trivial. But for Marxists, they build entire communities around the importance of this translation. It should be noted that Engels approved most of the translations---as he did for the Manifesto, which includes the above phrase from The German Ideology.
