What's your German learning routine at the beginning?

I am about to start learning German because I will be doing a summer internship in Germany. I am a bit overwhelmed by the amount of resources out there and want to get inspiration how you learned German when you started (from nothing to B1).
I am thinking about using DW, finding an Anki deck for vocabulary building, Language Transfer German, and finding a partner on Hellotalk or Italki (although not sure if I should wait until B1 for conversation practice).
