Post Body

Due to heavy debate among Algerian politicians about the cost, risk and efficacy of having troops on the ground on the other side of the continent, the mechanized brigade will stay put in Namibia. They will be on alert, ready to respond to potential incursions by South African forces.

The heavy lifting will be conducted by the air units stationed in Angola until air bases in Namibia are operational again. These units will work with Angolan and Nigerian missions to ensure maximum air coverage over South Africa. Targets will be military convoys, supply depots, troop columns, weapons factories and barracks.

The political situation in South Africa is tenuous at best, as revolutionary fever wears off and the economic implications of the civil war begin to set in. To sow further discord, leaflet bombs will be dropped over major population centers, listing the civilian casualty numbers caused by South African troops invading their neighbours and the full scale of the country's economic decline. In addition, a small number of dummy missions will be run, striking abandoned industrial areas and open fields on the outskirts of cities to convince civilians that the government is unable to defend them properly.

Units used:

21 SU-30MKA

7 SU-24M2
