US Foreign Military Aid to Israel
2021 was marked with increased tensions between Israel and Iran. Informal allies in the GCC are now engaged in a bitter proxy conflict with the Shi'ite theocracy in Bahrain and Yemen, pushing the US to sell advanced weaponry to the Egyptians and Saudis. This is unacceptable to the IDF, which used this opportunity to seized massively important deals with the US in order to maintain Qualitative Military Edge.
These deals include the massive order for the F-15EX variant for Israel, the F-15 Israel Advanced, alongside a planned tripling of the IAF's Lightning force within the next decade to fulfil the Air staff's wish list. New rotary crafts to replace increasingly outdated ones in IAF service are also granted.
But the most important ones with regards to strategic importance is the Trifecta. The 3 munition deals: AGM-183, AIM-260 and GBU-57B.
AGM-183 ARRW's sale give Israel a stand off weapon that is beyond Tehran's capability of intercepting, capable of reaching anywhere within the Middle East, and can be air launched in the future from an IAF Eagle. The AIM-260 sale secured Israel 15% of American production for cheap, and likely to be the only export user of the JATM. But most importantly, the sale of the GBU-57B MOP sends a massive signal to Iran, that the US would back Israel and any attempt to escalate tension further and pursue nuclear technology will be met with 33,000lbs worth of penetrative explosive.
[S] Arguably, all of the capability introduced by the public deal is trumped by the black project deals, but shhhh [S]

IDF Procurement
The IDF in 2021 began the process to procure the 3 Dakar-class submarines planned to replace the three 20 year-old vintage Dolphin Is. Alongside the new submarines, the Israeli Navy will also get the first batch of its planned 8 Sa'ar 72 corvettes that would replace the very outdated Sa'ar 4.5 missile boats. The 2nd Sa'ar 6 corvette, INS Oz has also just came into service.
On the ground, 2021 sees the Eitan AFV entering production and service with the IDF, while orders for the Namer are finally solidifies for the 2027 aim date to achieve full rollout. The ATMOS 2000 is chosen for a lucrative 600 units contract to replace the old M109 in IDF service, trumping the AGM due to its Israeli roots.
Another part of the deal to maintain QME with the US is the accelerated delivery of the KC-46 Pegasus, with 2 units delivering to the IAF immediately this year being diverted from USAF orders. F-53I Adir procurement continues smoothly with another 11 units arriving in Israel.
