Kinshasa, January 7th of 2029.
The formation of the East African Federation was an inspiration to all pan-Africanists in the world; the unification of millions of people within a single nation, with a single democratic apparatus, with a single ideology, the unification of Africa.
The Democratic Alliance had been growing in their pan-African inspirations for quite some time, the modernization of the Congo, coupled with the EAF forming, had finally formed a fully-fledged, major faction of the DA which called for pan-Africanism to be a part of their ideological apparatus.
This was done through the form of a petition to President Katumbi, one of the most prominent members of the DA who, coincidentally, was also growing quite interested in the aforementioned ideology; so much so, that the press has been mentioning the use of Kikongo and Kituba phrases in his latest speech, and his recently-published essay on the status of pan-Africanism in the DRC, composed of ten pages and published on January 3rd.
Nevertheless, this petition proved itself useful, as Katumbi gathered a special meeting of the Democratic Alliance in Kinshasa, and in this extraordinary meeting of minds, Katumbi debated along with other experienced members of the DA, who were a little bit more resistant of putting the DRC in the spotlight of pan-African thought; regardless of those fears, Katumbi reassured them through a democratic discussion, which went throughout January 8th to January 15th of 2028.
The Announcement of January 16th of 2028.
Katumbi concluded the extraordinary session of the Democratic Alliance by putting it to a vote â should the Democratic Alliance follow the ideals of Pan-Africanism; this vote passed with an overwhelming majority. This impressive case of unity in the DA is certainly explained by the unification under Katumbi and his presidency, which is regarded as the best Presidency in the DRC yet.
Furthermore, the DA has decided to approach individuals in other nations, who are also interested in pan-African ideals, and sponsor their potential in order to encourage them to establish parties in their own nations which follows the basic ideals of the Democratic Alliance, those being a democratic, constitutional, federal government, a free market, a very strong commitment to democracy and to international institutions, and pan-Africanism.
To further specify, the nations which are going to be currently getting this sponsoring by the Democratic Alliance, including funding if necessary, are Angola, Cameroon, CAR, Republic of the Congo, Gabon, São Tomé and Principe and Equatorial Guinea and Chad, or, essentially, the CEMAC countries.
The DA has also decided to create an umbrella international organization in order to provide these parties with guidance and cooperation, the official name, the Front pour la dĂ©mocratie, la prospĂ©ritĂ© et lâunitĂ© africaines, is also colloquially called the âPan-African Frontâ, or PAF. The purpose of this organization is not only to serve as an inspiring torch and a symbol of pan-Africanism in the countries which compose CEMAC, but also as a way for these political parties to organize themselves, cooperate, and discuss their strategies amongst themselves; this decentralization of the DA into various other nations is a key cornerstone of the way Katumbi wanted the ideological framework of pan-Africanism within the DRC to be â a decentralized current of thought as to fit the plights and histories of every African nation which it composes.
