Dakar, Jolof. October 1st of 2029.
The decision came at 22:00 on the 30th of September, the forty-year mistake had been erased from the face of the Earth. The Gambia and the Islamic Emirate of Jolof were finally one after a massive referendum. The results were clear, and were announced on radio, TV and the Internet, the referendum passed with 64% approval; with it, came new developments that had to be addressed, such as:
The legacy of the Gambian President, and especially what to do with Adama Barrow and the Gambian government;
The implementation of Islamic administration in the territory of The Gambia, and the integration of the Gambian states into Jolof;
The implementation of the SCS and elections for members of the SCS in The Gambia, and the subsequent purging of the previous administration;
The elimination of corruption, nepotism and bribery in all sectors of the government before finalizing integration, including thorough reviews of the government and its employees;
The integration of our national laws in regards to land rights and agricultural land, including auctioning off land and establishing a comprehensive administration for land rights and rural administration;
The incorporation of The Gambia into Islamic Industrial Vision 2040;
Finally, finishing the legacy of the Islamic revolution by bringing all of our Islamic laws into The Gambia, such as our dress code, complete Sharia, and adopting Arabic in the official government, which will supplant both English and French by 2050.
Thanking the Gambian Government
The Gambian government, different from many of the other governments in the world, have been compliant with the referendum and have accepted popular will; but while they have been compliant, they are the biggest contributors to Jahiliyya. They, like no one else, are the owners of that system, and they decided that instead of liberating the people from ignorance, they would keep them there; robbing them blind, crushing their spirit and enriching themselves.
Immediate to their integration, the SCI will open new files on the Gambian politicians and begin immediate prosecutions, endorsed by the Grand Mufti; the point of this will be to immediately uproot corruption in The Gambia and direct justice to the people, through the prosecution and elimination of corrupt politicians.It is the hope of the Grand Mufti, of course, that the people appreciate this goal, and as such, transparency will be the major focus of this campaign, with the people being informed, as much as possible, of the damages of corruption in The Gambia.
The incumbent President of The Gambia will be invited to participate in praying sessions with the Grand Mufti, and will be offered membership into the Gorgal Wadata; if accepted, he will have the privilege of aiding his people as an elected member of the SCS, being proud to introduce new bills and cooperate with the leadership in the Gambia.
The other ministers will be investigated and, if found guilty of anything, they will meet their fate in a Sharia court; regardless of status, it is imperative that the public has a growing trust in the government, as that will mean a population that is dedicated to Islam, and a society where democracy, even if local, can spread and prosper.
Islamic Governing in Gambia
Implementing the GW’s view of Islam in The Gambia is a thorough and slow process, as is incorporating the Gambian government and administration. Our first role will be to analyze the administrative regions of The Gambia and then integrate it fully into our own; this means that we will integrate the Banjul with the region of Brikama. After that, all of the subsequent regions of The Gambia, will become states of the Islamic Emirate of Jolof and will adopt our Contract of the City; this means that every city, state, mayor and governor of these regions will be subject to Sharia law, and our jurisprudence.
The Shura Council for State in The Gambia
We are going to prioritize the reviewing of elected officials in The Gambia and analyze our current Gorgal Wadata members present there; as the years have passed and our campaigns were published and endorsed by our GW branch there, naturally some leaders have arisen, and we will analyze their competency, first and foremost, and will then go forward with analyzing their loyalty and their knowledge of Islam.
We will cut the wheat from the chaff by analyzing the current Gambian politicians and blocking their approval into the GW if they have a “dirty record” of any sort, such as corruption, thieving or anything similar to it; they will also have to be Muslim and cannot be under investigation or suspicion of any crimes. If all of these parameters are approved, they will then undergo an interview with an approved GW member.
The purpose of this is to rehabilitate and integrate the Gambian politicians into our nation, which is very important, as is local representation with the people that know it best; we are also going to be sending GW members to local farms and local villages, making sure to attain more data on what is the current situation and the demographics; the SCS will still convene in Dakar, and we will be drafting projects to improve local infrastructure to ensure an easier trip to Dakar.
The Five No’s Campaign
The Five No’s is a campaign drafted by the Grand Mufti in order to completely eliminate corruption and also amend the final point of the integration agenda, finalizing the Islamic Revolution in the Gambia. This campaign will include posters, billboards, weekly speeches and a capella Nasheeds in national television, TV shows, radio, and etcetera; but a question remains in the minds of all the Gambians, what are the five no’s, after all?
No to Corruption
No to Jahiliyya
No to Crime
No to Anti-Islamic behavior
No to Poverty
All of these were drafted by Bahir according to his lifetime experiences in Jolof, and his impoverished background and childhood; he firmly believes that in order for the Gambia to be truly brought forward into the fold, they must pass through a “wave of Islam” that will come through this campaign. There will be directives for the Hisba police to crackdown massively on alcohol, on cigarettes, all of the owners and the factories will be compensated financially and will be offered other possibilities, such as the opening of new factories, or new farms; there will be a total overhaul of how life is truly lived in The Gambia.
Propaganda will be constant, and the face of the Grand Mufti, or at least what little he shows, will be appearing everywhere; since he veils his face, his eyes will be the focus, but even still, in Dakar, Tambacounda, Banjul and in small cities all over the Emirate, one rare picture of Bahir’s face has been shown everywhere and with it, a caption in Arabic which says “He is protecting us all; long live our Grand Mufti”.
Critics of the government, or at least the more vocal ones, have been saying that these posters and propaganda are all done by the Gorgal Wadata, and are not spontaneous or organic, but Bahir himself has claimed that this is only the natural will of the people. However, he does encourage that the impoverished of The Gambia sign up for the Hisba, for the Gorgal Wadata, and report violations of Islamic thought and behavior, such as the consumption of narcotics.
With the way Sharia behaves, such as public executions, it will increase the trust of the people that Islam, through our Islamic Emirate, is the right way to behave, as justice is commonly scarce in impoverished communities; we will be performing outreach and attempting to comprehend what pains the Gambians, and will attempt to bring them to our government.
