Following the COVID 19 pandemic New Zealand were one of the lucky countries which was able to contain the spread of COVID 19. The resulting leadship shown by labour has seen them be reelected in a landslide. They lack only 1 seat needed to govern alone which will be supplied in a confidence and supply agreement with green. Who managed to gain a single seat giving the coalition a strong majority. National were routed losing many of their seats. NZ first also failed to reach the 5% threshold and subsequently lost all their seats. ACT has surprisingly been able to gain a single seat giving them 2 seats
