New Zealand has so far been able to succesfully prevent any form of community spread within New Zealand. However this is no time to relax. Covid 19 is still in New Zealand and it must be stamped out.

Any New Zealanders returning home must continue to self isolate for 14 days. As the amount of people returning is slowing down police will attempt to be more thorough with their check ups. Testing will be ramped up to as many as we can produce.

All events of more then 100 will continue to be postponed or cancelled until we are able to stamp out COVID 19 in New Zealand.

Any confirmed cases will be followed up upon and close contacts will be required to be given tests and as well as being self isolated until it is safe for them to return to the greater community.

Prime minister Jacinda Ardern has also stated that if COVID 19 is not stamped out before the election it may be postponed. She will seek to collaborate with national to receive the 75% majority to postpone the election to a later date and assured the public that this may need to happen to halt any spread of COVID 19.

However reports from the national party leader Paula Bennett, who replaced Simon bridges after a major gaffe destroyed his popularity and chance of election. She states that national wish to instead form a unity government that will unite in the face of this unprecedented crisis.
