Just wondering if there are any appointments, positions, jobs, classrooms, etc that make people pledge allegiance to the Georgia state flag as a matter of routine or oath or whatever.
The current Georgia state flag being a copy of a confederate flag (First National Flag of the Confederate States of America) with the addition of colors of militia regiments under a gold dome, just wondering if people that are reciting the pledge really understand what it is they're pledging themselves too.
---Georgia's pledge of allegiance to the state flag---
original version introduced in 1935: “I pledge allegiance to the Georgia flag and to the principles for which it stands: Wisdom, Justice, and Moderation.”
new version as of 2022: "I pledge allegiance to the Georgia flag and to the principles for which it stands: Wisdom, Justice, Moderation and Courage."
