Hello everyone,
I'm currently planning one year ahead. I have just confirmed that my employer is going to move me back from Clarke County to Middle Georgia. I've only been in the state for over two years, and I can already tell that I'm going to miss a lot of stuff.
Up in North Georgia, I can interact with my interests in less than a 30 minute drive time whether it be firearms training, beekeeping, emergency first aid classes, and certain technology subjects. These also had a far lower price tag. I'm also not Christian and biracial, so there was a better sense of normalcy and far fewer tense moments.
I have been in middle Georgia before (for about a year) and I really didn't like my stay (I did make a few friends, but they're located pretty far off). I was mostly located in Houston County. There weren't many ways to engage my interests and I really didn't have a good chance of trying to create a family for obvious reasons. I did take a few visits into Macon, but they really didn't have much and I felt a little less safer than in other places that I have previously been to (Seattle, NYC, Charlotte, Raleigh).
I was wondering if there are any towns that I should take a look at. If not, are there any facebook groups that I should introduce myself to?
Thank you for your time.
