This post does not contain any kind of leak/rumor. Just pure speculation on my part before the patch drops because I have a funny idea.

TLDR: The abyss siblign betrayed the Traveler from the very first moment they set foot in Teyvat.

So after re-watching the trailer for this upcoming patch I got an idea (very cracked and just speculation) for Dainsleif's question: " Traveler, let me ask you this... Do you belive your sibling to have betrayed you? "

Now this question was probably confusing for most of us when we heard it because what does he mean by that, since we encountered our sibling just once throughout our time in Teyvat and that was in "We will be reunited", so it's not like we had contact with them. But now after thinking about this, that same quest might be a hint of when the betrayal happened.

WE GOT BETRAYED FROM THE START !

Now we are going into the crack speculation theritory. In the quest "We will be reunited" we get to talk to Dainsleif and share a new piece of info (for him and us as players), the fact that the Traveler has seen the destruction of Khaenri'ah (atleast part of it).

 Dainsleif: I see... So your first memory after coming into this world was being awoken by your (‍sister/brother‍) from within that meteorite...   Paimon: It seems your (‍sister/brother‍) woke up first, but the question is, how long before you...   Dainsleif: And then your (‍sister/brother‍) told you that the destruction of Khaenri'ah plunged the whole world into chaos and that you two should leave this world called Teyvat?

Now, when the quest made it's debut it was packed with so many new things and pieces of info that this part didn't seem to be the most important one (it wasn't then but it might be now)

So from my understanding the time-line is like this( let me know if i got it wrong, but this is how i understood it): Siblings arrived to Teyvat-> Abyss sibling wakes up but (mysteriously?) The Traveler stays asleep? -> Abyss sibling does their thing in Khaenri'ah ( traveler still asleep )-> The Cataclysm happens -> Traveler gets woken up by the abyss sibling and gets a (first? and) last glimpse at Khaenri'ah before leaving -> Start of the game.

Dainsleif: It seems the first time you awoke in this world was indeed during that period.   Paimon: Huh... So your (‍sister/brother‍) must have understood this world better than you did because (‍she/he‍) woke up first.

Why was the Traveler never woken up? Was it because maybe they got separated when they first arrived in Teyvat and found each other closer to the start of the cataclysm? Was it because for some reasons they couldn't physically be awakend? Or was it because THE SIBLING BETRAYED US FROM THE MOMENT WE ARRIVED IN TEYVAT? Did they found/understood something in the moment they woke up that made them not wanting to wake us (the traveler) up? Did they have other plans for us maybe or did someone told them to not wake us up? ( ok this last one might not even make sense but just wanted to throw that out there lol )

This theory can easily be dismissed depending on the fact on if I got the time-line wrong, (or maybe by anything else that I said lol) but nevertheless I wanted to share this before the patch drops as a fun little idea on Dainsleif question.
