There were plenty of moments in Sumeru that I enjoyed, but I felt like they made enough of an impact on me that I didn’t need to watch them a second time (with the possible exception of the final scenes with Nahida and Dottore).
However, with Fontaine, with all the twists in the story, it makes me want to re-experience it with proper context, knowing what comes next.
Everyone’s characterizations was so on-point too — moments like Navia’s confrontation with Neuvilette, the Magic Show going wrong, Furina’s “duel”, Clorinde’s rescue, and many others really made me fall in love with the cast and want to spend more time with them. The amount of drama and genuine character emotion surprised me.
Was it this way for anyone else? If so, what was your favorite part?
