Ok, here's my situation:

My core team is C2 Albedo, C1 Zhongli, and C6 Fischl. I love these three characters. They are my favorite in the game. I am looking for a 4th. At the moment, I have 150 wishes saved (C2 Albedo took way fewer than I expected).

Now, I was originally planning for the 4th to be Yae Miko. I really like her voice and personality (best in the game, frankly, barely edging Albedo), though, don't kill me, I don't like her face and I only consider her maybe my 10th favorite appearance-wise overall. She's also seeming like a main dps carry type as the patches roll on and more leaks come out. One person described her as the electro damage ceiling. Other beta leakers are saying they are personally saving for her. She's going to be powerful.

Here's the problem: I already have 3 damage dealing characters and an incredible shield, and I'd rather not drop any of them. I was expecting to not need a healer, to just rely on the powerful shields. And maybe one day in the far future, I would get C6 Zhongli. Or, hey, that the high priestess of Electro might be a healer herself. But Mihoyo seems to have developed an obsession with "True Damage" like Corrosion, which bypasses shields. I feel like I need a healer. All of my next favorite characters after the top 3 have the same problems and fill the same dps role: Rosaria, Xinyan, Yanfei, Yoimiya (though I didn't bother pulling her), Beidou, etc.

Now, I could stick to the plan and give Yae Prototype Amber, but it will feel very wrong to waste the electro dps ceiling by turning her into a weak healer. And is doing that worth the wishes, anyway?

So far, I've mostly been using Qiqi. She's a good addition, especially with the new set that weaponizes healing. I imagine Barbara would be just as good in that role when I need hydro damage for a shield or something. Qiqi is my favorite of the healers (and Barbara is #2), but I don't actually love any of them. Well, technically I don't have Sayu and don't know how effective her healing is. I like her as much or more than Qiqi, though. And Noelle's kit is among my favorites in the whole game, but I find her personality grating...

Anyway, here's my dilemma. I have no trouble saving wishes. I saved 350 from Zhongli's rerun to Albedo's rerun a week ago (and didn't need them all!). But I want to put my wishes towards improving my forever team as best I can. So, do I:

1) Get Yae anyway. I like everything except her appearance so much and she's going to be strong, I could prototype Amber her, or, maybe be persuaded to drop Fischl for a healer instead (but that will feel bad). Maybe wishes barely matter and I should just get people I like anyway.

2) Just put everything into every Zhongli re-run. It will take several more reruns, but I will eventually get C6 and then I can fill the 4th slot with someone I like more than Qiqi. Rosaria, for example, who is triple crowned. Or I could actually start pulling then for Yae/Shenhe's rerun. Or new DPS characters.

3) Just save until another 5 star healer is announced (none seem to be on the horizon from leaks I know about, but anything is possible)

4) Pull for a 4 star healer I don't have like Sayu or C4 Gorou who might just enhance the team I already have.

Important information:

• I don't want Kokomi, so, "wait for a Kokomi rerun" isn't on my list. She has the second worst haircut in the game, the very worst voice, and is yet another one of the women in power who are tediously overworked and unwilling to say "no" to people, like Jean. Yes, even though her kit is exactly what I need here. Sorry.

• I absolutely don't care about the Abyss at all. I cleared it back in April and have not gone back again, because I find it anti-fun. No, not even to floor 9 or 10 for the primos. As far as I'm concerned there is no Abyss. Truly, not only did I not find the experience of running it fun at all, doing it even sapped my enjoyment for the rest of the game and I almost quit. But, even if there's some random chance in the future that I might care about it again, I don't need to pull for a second Abyss team. I already have plenty of powerful meta characters (that I dislike) already built and ready: Ganyu, Venti, Diluc, Xingqiu, Bennett, Xiangling, Jean, Mona, Keqing...just don't worry about the Abyss.
