going to grad school with autism
Post Body

hi all,

i have autism spectrum disorder and i have been working to become a genetic counselor since i started undergrad. i’m a senior now and feel very confident in my academic and extracurricular qualifications.

however, i’ve been anxious recently because from what i’ve heard, grad school interviews place a lot on making sure you’re a “good fit” for their school. this makes me anxious because i tend to make bad first impressions due to my autism and come off as awkward.

i was wondering if any other professionals with autism have successfully gotten into grad school and if anyone has any tips? becoming a genetic counselor means a lot to me
