Hi all,
I am a 4th year undergraduate student and plan on applying to gc school next application cycle. I have a number of great leadership and counseling roles which I am confident will give me great letters of recommendation. However, I am unsure if I have any science-related professionals who could give me letters of rec. I worked in a lab my sophomore year, but I was only minimally involved and it will have been 3 years ago, compared to my current positions which are more involved and I'm more passionate about. Additionally, I attend a large public university, so I do not have any STEM professors who I am close with.
I know that there are some schools which require specific STEM academia recommendations, but in general, is having no STEM letters of rec a bad thing?
This summer, I have the opportunity to work a leadership role for my university student union which is high paying and I would really enjoy. Or, I could be a lower-paying field tech in a lab I'm not very passionate about in order to hopefully get a STEM rec letter. Thoughts?
