Generator overheated and shut off - What to look out for?
Post Body

I have a Duromax XP13000EH in a vented enclosure with a 12” louvered attic fan extracting excess heat. Generator exhaust is piped through stainless flex and a Genexhaust muffler.

Ran the unit under no load last weekend to burn up the last of the gasoline with the enclosure closed up (ran it 100 hrs during beryl no problems).

Long story short, the fan failed causing heat to build up in the enclosure. Gen shut off while I was elsewhere in the house fixing some plumbing stuff Came back to an excessively hot gen. Plugged the fan into a nearby main powered outlet and realized it was toast.

Generator battery is bloated and had crystals form on the terminals. Digital volt meter gauge no longer cycles through the hours ran and hertz options. Unit otherwise starts from battery and is creating power. Temp outside on Saturday was 100f. I know I effed up shutting the enclosure… What should I look out for as far as possibly damaged components?
