Beginners Tips?

Played a little bit of the beginning and I'm booting it up again after I write this but I'm otherwise completely new to the game. I'm not a multiplayer person, so I'm liable to fly solo the entire time. Based on experience with other games this seems fun.I like to explore, loot, take things out from stealth/distance and tend to prioritise keeping myself in good health over brute strength.
