I know Reddit is probably not the best way to judge this. But I read many posts on other subs where people in their 20βs and 30βs seem to think people in our age range had super easy lives. I would agree in some ways we probably did have things easier but it other ways more difficult. At any rate I donβt think it was as easy as many of them seem to think. What do you think they get wrong about us and what do they get right?
My father is a mortgage banker. I remember at one point during the Carter administration, 30 year mortgage rates were over 20%.

Housing was cheaper, but we also had double digit mortgage rates, which offset a lot of that.
