Post Body

General hospital is one of the longest running tv-series in America. If I left my tv on it would take 500 days of continuous viewing with no sleep before I watched all of them and they continue to make more. The thing I struggle to comprehend is how on earth is this Americas most produced show? It barely has any viewers, about 2 million viewers at best nowadays but it keeps getting renewed. Compared to game of thrones for example which started season 1 with 9 million viewers and by the end of season 8 had 46 million viewers, yet it only lasted 8 seasons. I don’t understand how this show lasted as long as it did.
