I've noticed frequent confusion/complaints about Victor's accent on this sub and wanted to point out the reason that it seemingly changed to British with the character recast (though, Thaao Penghlis' accent actually sounded British, too, with a slight intonation - perhaps Greek):
In December 2021, Victor and Ava were talking at Charlie's Pub and Ava remarked "Oh, by the way, the...the British accent - it's a real nice touch." Victor replied "Well, thank you. I worked hard to achieve it...as I do everything else." I took that to mean that Victor purposely worked to change his accent after he was presumed dead in the Crichton Clark explosion in order to be less detectable, should anyone have been looking for him. I think that a lot of viewers either didn't catch that exchange or just forgot.
