My grandmother was born in Dundee Scotland, and even though I had the ancestry premium global account, I was unable to find the information I was searching for due to the current restrictions between Scotland and Ancestry. Are there any ideas on how to proceed? I wasn’t able to put any obvious pieces together via my dna matches.
The backstory is that her mother was pregnant when she married the man who raised my grandmother and is listed in (the few) census records I could find as her father. We know that it was not her biological father so want to try to play detective and figure out who her actual father might have been related to. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I’ve recently been diagnosed with some rare genetic disorders that there’s no explanation for and would love to have as many pieces as possible.
