Most of my Y-12 matches are in Scandinavia--was my ancestor definitely a Viking?

Most of my matches are in Norway, Sweden, and Finland. I also have a match with a Maccauley from the Isle of Lewis (known Viking lineage) and a descendant of the 1st Earl of Douglas (whose ancestor was possibly a Fleming, and his genealogy goes back to the mythological Scandinavian gods). However, several of my cousins in my subgroup SK1258 (no match on Y-12) were Huguenots, many from Switzerland. Is it pretty safe to say my ancestor was a Viking or could they have been Germanic?
