I found a copy of my person's church marriage record. And it looks like Richard Clague at the bottom and someone else. Can you make out that other name? It looks like it could be Richard...Something? Or maybe not Richard.
Could these be the name(s) of the parent(s)? Or just witnesses? Because there IS a birth record for John Clague with a father named Richard Clague. But there are also several other "John Clagues" born about the same time in the same place so...I can't be sure if it's Richard...Although I'm more inclined to believe so, since the name shows up on the marriage document.
